Sylvia was handed in to the rescue during the rescue’s Christmas closure last year. She’d always lived alone and her owners could no longer care for her. She was in a poor state and her coat needed a thorough cleaning and cutting to remove matts, tangles, debris and oil that had been applied to it. She had obviously been well loved, and was a natural at being petted. She was a lap cushion piggy - and enjoyed her grooming sessions when she was brushed regularly.
She came to live with me as she was lonely and the rescue was closed. My girls welcomed her and she fitted in well. She enjoyed being part of the herd and when Ralph came to join the ladies she became his second favourite wife (after Holly).
Sadly she became very unwell today and deteriorated rapidly this afternoon. The speed of her decline indicates that she had something very sinister and the decision to PTS was the kindest one for her. She passed very peacefully.
Popcorn free my poppet. We may not have had long with you, but you had 8 glorious months of indoor living on fleece with piggy friends and human slaves to adore you x

I had a little bit of a soft spot for her as she looked like a long haired version of my Grace with her colour/markings around the face.
