Just thought you might like to see my 16 year old lurcher, Casey, and my two piggies. The boys were having a bit of a wander around the lounge and Casey was just watching them!

Others will tell you exactly what a lurcher is, but it is a greyhound or whippet crossed with something else. You can cross them with particular dogs eg. bedlingtons, salukis collies, to make them particularly good at different types of work. Alternatively, you can keep a lurcher like I do that is purely for fun and a house pet. xx
Lovin the pictures of piggies and lurcher. x

Lovely pic. :)

Good age for a dog, too, and she looks well. We had a Shih Tzu live to 17, he was geriatric bless him.

What a lovely picture! That is a relaxed dog - and to very handsome piggies!

lovely dog x)

ps. a lurcher is a sighthound (e.g. greyhound, whippet, saluki, deerhound etc...) crossed with a working breed (usually a type of collie or terrier). all intentional lurcher crosses have a working purpose and usually are typically designed to have both speed and hunting insincts. either way, they are bl00dy gorgsou dogs whatever the cross. I have 2 lurchers myself... a greyhound X bearded collie and a whippet X beddlington terrier. I love both crosses, they are so different. The whippet cross is very headstrong but incredibly loyal to me and my OH. She won't entertain strangers. The greyhound cross is so intelligent and eagre to please all the time. This is the collie in him. And because of the collie in him he can be hard to keep mentally stimulated sometimes.
