Misty, my little princess, went over the rainbow bridge in September. She would have been 8 years old in November. She went downhill so quickly at the end. On friday she refused to eat her veggies and we took her to the vets. She was diagnosed with lymphoma and we went home with steroids and antibiotics for her. On Saturday, she was no longer eating dry food and I couldn't get her to eat syringed food. She would pick at hay and drink a lot of water. By Sunday, she was very confused and sleepy. That wasn't really Misty though, she was always funny and a real poser!

And her girls

When she first came home, she opened the cage and led the girls on a tour of the kitchen. I found Peaches sleeping in the tea towels, Bella eating out of the veggie drawer and Misty pulling photos off the fridge. I miss you and your cheeky ways so much Misty! Bella and Peaches do too. It was a horrible illness and you were such a brave girl x

I am very sorry that you have lost your cheeky old lady, but I am glad that she didn't suffer for very long. You must miss her very much after all that time!

RIP Misty

Oh how sad. I smiled at the story of her leading the girls into the kitchen. I am so sorry for your loss.

So very sorry you lost your beautiful girlie, she sounds like she had such a lovely cheeky character. Popcorn free Misty xx

We had her for a year. After having her for 7 years, her last owners decided she was boring and gave her to me, so they could get rabbits. She certainly wasn't boring, she was the funniest and cheekiest pig! I am too, the vet suspected cancer when we first got her (and we decided not to start treatment because of her age) but she had a year of perfect health and happiness. It was only right at the end that she started to show signs of illness.

Sorry you lost beautiful Misty. You did everything you could for her. She sounded like a pig in a million, thats a great kitchen adventure story and a really heartfelt tribute to your beautiful girl.

RIP Misty

The loss of a precious piggie is something that one never forgets or wants to forget. Everyday should be a fond memory of her for all of you to remember.
