As alot of you know I took on snuggles. Well, he needs some treatment and it's going to come to alot of money and I wouldn't 'ask if I didn't really need it but any donations would be really helpful towards his care.

I will echo Lexy's plea, he is such a sweetie pie and it's breaking my heart. You know I will help all I can Lexybee.

the vet basically refused me help tilll tomorrow.x
 
I'm sorry to be harsh but you knew what you were taking on when you adopted him, and if you didn't know then you should have done your research about fungal. I think it's quite out of order to come on to the forum asking for money just after you've taken this pig on.

You're not a rescue, and taking money off people on the forum takes money out of rescue's hands. If you don't have the money to care for every animal you have you should not take them on in the first place.

If you can't get the pig to the vets and he's that bad you should contact a rescue and see if they can take him in and get him better.

I realise that you're trying to help and it's hard seeing pigs in these situations and stop yourself but you really need to think these things through and make sure you have the funds to be able to help. x
 
Lexy - I agree with Piggiepal, if this pig is beyond your finances then you should do the best thing and give it the best future possible - even if that means it's not with you.

I don't think it was made clear quite how bad he was by his original owner and Lexy felt she should take him as she had already rehomed his original friend (Genga). I am actually covering tonights vet fees (she is at the emergency vet now) and I think the only reason she asked on here was because other people from time to time have done the same. She is extremely worried about him and has been seeking regular advice about how to proceed from Laura at the Guinea Pig helpline and also a fungal specialist.
 
Lexy has just texted me from the vets and little Snuggles has been PTS. I don't know the details yet but will update when I do. Sweet dreams little man.

I would just like to say that... I followed laura's and Karens instructions, tooktheir advice and did everything Icould, even with a horrible vet.

I tried my best.

I'm so very sorry to hear he's already gone. It all seems so very unfair on all involved. I'm very sorry Lexy - I know how much you truly love the piggies.

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss Lexi, and I am sorry that some people are quick to judge others when they don't know the full story:(

People have done this before on the forum and havent had any hassle. It was exceptional circumstances so I'm sorry you feel judged hun. You have done all you could. I'm so sorry he passed away, big hugs. x
