My new arrivals, arriving on Friday, Lola on the left, she's 12 weeks old, and Angel on the right, she's just over 12 month old. I knew I'd grind the wife down eventually to let me have some more.
The niece came round offering us the 2 youngest from her herd as she was downsizing. I just said to the wife, "there you go, that'll do for my birthday present", she said, "go on then" and then there was 3! They're coming with their own hutch, so they don't have to share with Bart but I'll put both hutches at right angles so they can chatter away to each other.![]()
Are you not going to bond them and keep them together then?
I will be, Bart lives with a bunny, i'm in the process of finding a hutch mate for the rabbit and then i'll bond them seperately. They've lived together for over 2 years and are very close. After reading on here about how they shouldn't live together, i'm going to part them once Bart has bonded.
Do you know what, I take my hat off to you for having the guts to admit you had second thoughts and learnt from what people said.
It takes a lot to admit you may have been wrong I![]()
Bart has a face like a big teddy bear, you cant help but fall in love with him, the moment you see him. All 3 of them are huddled together in the pen munching on the grass. It was funny as anything earlier on. Bart was his his usual lazy piggy self, he was lying in his scramble pipe on his side with his head sticking out eating the grass. Lola came along and lay in the pipe next to him and copied him, occasionally looking over as to seek his approval that she was like him!![]()
