Just thought Id introduce you all to my new piggie.
First I just had Silvio:
Who I got free from the Gumtree freeads. But he was very lonely on his own. So I got in touch with Sokel and they got me Furio, who lived happily with Silvio:
For one year
. After chronic problems and an unsuccessful operation for bladder stones Furio was put to sleep about 3 weeks ago 8....
I still needed a little friend for poor lonely Silvio so I went back to Hels and she arranged for me to have a little brown boar from them. Except when I turned up, they had given me a choice! Oh no! 2 little brown boars and a grey/white boar.
I couldnt resist the little grey one, so brought him home last week. We had lots of Sopranos based names lined up but none suited him, and after a while without a name we settled on...
Little Pickle:
(He will probably be just Pickle once he grows up!) He is just over 5 weeks old and Silvio seems to adore him. Luckily Silvio is a very nice pig - very laid back and friendly and not dominant at all. Only problem I had with bonding was that they were both terrified of each other! They are very friendly now though, except Pickle is a bit rough when licking Silvio's ears and Sil keeps having to squeak to remind him not to bite. No humping, chasing, biting or anything though. Pickle is very cheeky and keeps stealing food off Silvio who just looks sad and lets it happen. He's such a pushover.
And yes, Pickle does have one floppy ear and one standy-up ear!
