Hi

I just wanted to post because I'm so excited :(|) I am collecting my neutered boar from a local rescue today to live with my girls. I popped in just to look (honest) and he was there, all alone with no friends. I couldn't resist as they wanted him to live with a group of sows. He has become withdrawn according to the staff there so I hope he settles in well here. I will be reading the thread on here on introducing newies.

Just to let you know the introduction went well even better than I could have hoped for! I did (and it may have helped) rub them all down with lavender so they all smelt the same and absolutely gorgeous to! I also sprinkled some in their run as I know it has a calming effect which I think worked wonders! i **** should have checked if lavender was ok for guineas but I do remember reading somewhere it was ok.

I'm so glad I got him. I think he is happy now with all his girlfriends and space to run about. I wish some people would get rescue pets there are so many needing homes.
