Hi,
Well i got Emily on friday and noticed things werent right. I was taking her to the vets today to get treated for mites along with Rosie. But last night she took a seizure. The vet said its either an absecess or a tumour on her brain or pressing against it. She got anti-biotics and was told if its an abscess we will see some improvement by the morning and will continue treatment. But he is 90% sure its a tumour (but he just wanted to try) and to prepare myself and the kids for tomorrow morning. He also said her heart rate was very very slow.

I am heartbroken. I know i have only had her a few days but any guinea pig lover knows how quickly you fall in love with them. I emailed the woman i got them from as she asked me to keep in touch with how they are, she couldnt apologise enough but i did tell her it wasnt her fault. these things can go unnoticed an suddenly a piggie gets ill x

BIG HUG

I am so sorry for you all! Just make her as comfy as you can and hope for the best.

I'm so sorry, fingers, toes, legs, arms and paws crossed it's an abscess x>> poor little piggy. And very understanding of you too, so many people would take the piggy back :( Good luck, thinking of the two of you xox

Well it didnt go well, she took 2 seizures but short ones and then one very big one. She wasnt well and went to the vet tonight and was put to sleep. I held stroked and spoke to her the whole time.

x

((HUGS))- I'm so sorry for your loss! It is awful to have to make that decision, I've been there myself with some of my pets. It sounds like you helped her to pass peacefully with someone who cared about her, and I hope that gives you some comfort! RIP little piggie!

I am so sorry - putting a pet to sleep is always such a tough decision and it never gets any easier; it is even more heartbreaking when you have to do it so soon. But you did absolutely the right thing and your little girl did leave carried by your love; that was really important!

Oh nooooo i've just caught up with the latest news on Emily 8...8...8...
RIP Emily run free at the bridge, popcorn thru the meadows and enjoy munching on the lush green grass and dandelions, you'll be so very sadly missed by your whole family and little friend Rosie, but NEVER forgotten xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
(((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))))))))) and lots of loves from Glynis, Velvet and Onyx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Another little star now twinkling in the sky ............ :(
