we picked up our new girl yesterday and brought her home
after the introduction we put her in the cage and everythings fine.
the only thing is, when we go over to the cage she doesn't run off into hide like piggys do, shes sits there and looks like shes shivering a bit, probably fright?
if you put your hand in to get the food bowl she doesn't budge
shes either extremely tame or too scared to move?
shes tiny only 8 weeks old
any ideas?

i would give her time to settle in. she most probably moves when you're asleep. the people who had her before you most probaly handled her a lot. she could be a very laid back piggy. give her lots of cuddles and treats O0 if concerned get her checked out. is she by herself? she may be lonely as piggies love company. come on waiting for pictures of the little darling. :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:please keep us posted on the wee little mite, has she a name? sending hugs :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: and many :-* :-* :-* by the way welcome to the forums from me and the girls from oz and welcome to being a piggy slave and the wonderful world of guinea piggies. :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

They are all different, give her a few days she will get used to her surroundings. Bless her! :smitten:

i would give her a few days to settle in and see how she goes. i am sure after a few days she will be running around as normal O0

ohhh, they say leave her for at least a week and try not to pick her up. they have to get use to it. But also get her a friend. piggies love their company and they are fab in pairs! so cute!

I woudnt worry
your lucky she dosnt run off you can pick her up and she wont mind mine run away from me but mudge can never make up his mind he runs one time n thn just sits ther with a fat chin hehe.
