My New Piggy!

Meet Merida! This is my new addition. This gorgeous girl is 6 years old and was sadly given up after her cage mate died and her owner decided he no longer wanted her.

She is the sweetest pig, with an incredibly gentle and calm nature I can't understand why anyone would want to give her up. She's been with me a few days now and this morning she visited Aidan at Ashleigh Vets for a full MOT. Merida is fit and healthy, a little stressed due to changes in her life recently but she'll be much happier once she's got company.

I have 5 rescue pigs already so I'm going to try and bond her with my 'special' piggies (both have 3 legs) as they are much calmer and laid back than my boisterous trio!

Fingers crossed for successful bonding :)
 
What a cutie pig! Great that she has found a home with you. I hope that she will be happy with your three legged piggies!
 
What a gorgeous girl. She is very lucky you adopted her. I wish you all the best with the introductions xx

Thanks folks, she is an amazing pig. It's true what they say about oldies, they love snuggles and are so much calmer.
I introduced her to Ginny & Oscar last night after having spent 3 days living side by side and she seemed so happy to be in the company of other pigs again. They immediately started a piggy train and she happily trotted around following them. Oscar did his usual display of manliness (bless him, he doesn't have much luck since he's missing a back leg, he tries to mount but he can't do it!) and kept rubbing alongside her. Just before bed last night she was flopped over in her hay tray and he went and joined her and they lay side by side munching on hay. She seemed very happy and they don't seem to fussed about having a new addition to their cage, so fingers crossed it'll continue!

I shall try and get some photos of them all together :D

Thank you! No, just Merida at the minute but I LOVE Disney and I love the Princesses haha :lol: I have a cat called Belle though!
My other pigs are Ginny, Oscar, Lily, Daisy and Rio :)
