We managed to dodge the downpour today and went for a really nice walk to a little place called Paradise Bottom!

The dogs had a great time darting between the trees and jumping over logs and stuff, but the best bit was playing in the waterfalls and ponds!

It was largely a good time, although there was a terrifying stick poking out of the water (very strange dogs I have!)

They were both petrified of it, but Molly got brave!

By the time we got home everybody was very sleepy (not just the dogs!)

(excuse the muddy chair - it's Paddy's chair!)

All in all, I think the mutts were very happy with their walkies today!

:)) oh I do love love love Paddy! I laughed out loud at the pair of them being scared of the stick, Rosie does similar things! Oh and Paddy you have a beautiful smile!

superb pics!

Just out of interest, what harness do you use on your dog please? I'm thinking of getting one for Jet the whippet as he keeps slipping his collars, skinny thing that he is!

What harness do I use? One that stinks, is hairy, falling apart and is 6 years old! I bought it at a dog show, and have never found one like it since! Similar, but not the same :( its kind of a fleece material reinforced with nylon webbing. It goes over his head then straps go under his front legs and clip together on his back.

I like harnesses that have a wide bit on the chest, as when on the lead, paddy pulls, and it means that the chest bit takes the force, rather than his neck.

The second best harness I have for him is made by a company called "EzyDog" -stick it in google images, I can't link you to it because my Internet is an abomination!

I imagine that you'll have the same problem I do...paddy is a weird shaped dog! He's small (about 10" tall) but is very broad chested and has a lot of muscle mass and small dog harnesses rarely fit him well!

If anyone can find me my original harness I will love you forever! :))
