My Parents Are Giving Her Away In Two Weeks...

I got a female cuy a few months ago and i finally got her a friend, Ayla. Ayle has been here only a month and i tried once to put them together, but I got so stressed out that I separated them. I haven't tried since, because now I'm too afraid of what will happen, and what I might lose if it doesn't work out. My mom has now threatened me by saying that Ayla will be gone in two weeks if I don't get them together. She doesn't understand guinea pigs at all, and who knows where Ala might end up? Any tips on the bonding and all that?
