My pig ate celery.. So excited!

I know it's lame but I just had to share with my "piggie friends"!


Charlie ate celery for the first time tonight! Yeah.

I have been worried to give him celery as I have heard they can choke on it and I would HATE to see anything happen to my baby. But I decided to break down and try him. I gave him two VERY small pieces and some of the leaves. And he basically devoured it! YEAH!

And that's strange for Charlie. As you see, it took him lots of tries to get used to apples even.

Now to keep trying on strawberries. I have tried many times with strawberries and nothing yet! BOO.. :p
 
Congratulations on your celery triumph I tend to chop pepsi's up into small chunks being careful to remove any parts that look stringy pepsi isn't too fussed about strawberries either but she adores spinach which I introduced her to recently :)

Thanks. I'm pretty excited! Spinach was the first thing I fed him when I got him home. He loved it. Now he seems to like lettuce more. lol.


Love the name of your piggies by the way. Way too cute. :))
 
yay! i am trying new foods at the moment with no success! I might get some celery now your piggie has had success I'm too worried about the stringyness but if chopped thinly it should be ok i think.
 
Took a while for mine to eat Romaine lettuce..now they adore it also spinach.

Have recently tryed Fennel and they gobble it up..oh and they love Dill.
 
Cocoa will take a couple of nibbles on apple but look at me to say "what else you got " rolleyes
