My pig Terra has a discharge coming out of one nostril other than that he seems fine he is running around his cage popcorning and eating and drinking ok. is there anything I can do for him?

I would recommend popping him to your vet to be on the safe side - piggies hide illness and behave normally in many ways that make us think they are ok.
Possibly a URI brewing so ring them first thing :)

As said before, the vets is the best thing you can do right now,
Your lucky as it seems to be the early stages of whatever it is it should be easy to treat and hopefully your piggie will be back to full health in no time !

I took Terra to the vet and hes got a uri. He is on antibiotics and pain meds for his leg. He has a bad sprain and its not healing quickly so vet thought he should have pain meds. Hopefully in a few days he will be ok I need good thoughts for my little buddy.:(

Lots of helaing vibes for Terra x

Just an update Terra is about the same. His eating is slowing down and I'm beginning to worry. He is still pooping and I hope I wont have to start syringe feeding him.

Terra had to be syringe fed last night. He was nibbling at his food but not really eating. I am glad to say today his eating has picked up and I think he'll be ok.:(|)

If he stopped eating properly then 24hours later you might start to see a decrease/change in his poo output.

Please don;t stop syringe feeding at the moment just because you see him eating - he's probably not eating enough.

If his poos aren't normal in consistency or output for more than 24hours, go back to the vet for authorisation/prescription of gut stimulants
a) cisapride (diffcult to get so metoclo-promide or emeprid are the alternatives)........... and
b) most importantly zan-tac - human meds available from a supermarket

PM me for dosages etc
