My piggies are eating newspaper - is that ok?

Having found our my OH is allergic to the smell of our pig bedding we just swopped to newspaper and for a month its been briiiiilllllliant - we change it each day and its wonderful - and cheap - except today all rocoo has done is SHRED - EAT.......SHRED - EAT ----- - he loves it --- i dont know if its good for him or not so keep telling him to stop and dont realyl knwo what i should do - help :)
 
oh mine rip there newspaper sometimes and eat it after there have pooed and wee on it ::)

Gus Gus likes the brown rolls left over after a roll of toilet paper is all used up. Is that along the same lines as newspaper, thus ok for him to chow down on?

I have empty toilet rolls, empty cling wrap rolls and and empty wrapping paper roll in with my guys... they dont fit in it and dont chew it or anything... but i am hoping cindys babies will get much enjoyment out of them :)
 
Great info everyone thankyou - I'm LOVING my piggies they are the bomb :D I want more more more LOL....2 is enough for now simply because i can enjoy them all day long and in the evening my 2 jack russells get all my attention - thats fair. The piggies constantly delight me and amuse everyone who meets them - as they are in the shop full time rocco and elvis have LOTS of fans too :)
