I have three boars, in a four by two c&c cage. Today I noticed some scabs on one piggies back and immediately separated him from the others. The other two get along well, and they are both about around a year old or a little younger. The victem, however is probably around three or four (we got him from a local shelter that didn't know how old).I am planning to take him to the vet asap.

I think a 4x2 is too small for 3 boars, and unfortunately it's very rare for 3 to get along with no problems. I would suggest checking them all for any wounds just in case. If the other 2 are still getting along perhaps you could think about keeping those 2 together and find a new friend for your older piggy.

Ahh, yeah as @Galaxy&nibbles said 2x4 is too small for 3 boars, for 2 boars it's a 2x5 cage so would be 2x6 for three boars... they are probably under each others feet.

I've pasted the link to the cage sizes below, they say that boars are meant to have a grid bigger than what a sow would. I have 3 sets of boars (pairs) and a solo boar, tthe 3 sets are in 2x5's and the solo is in a 2x3 atm (going to put him in a 2x4 soon).

Hi and welcome!

Please have your boy checked by a vet for bites, mange mite or fungal. All three can manifest as scabs. If it is scabs from a fight with bites, I would recommend. Lack of space is very often a cause for friction in boars.

Maybe it was the size of the cage that made them fight? Like they had to be in each other space too often as there wasn't space to get away from each other?
