The house is sooooo quiet :-(. No wheeking when the fridge opens or you rustle a plastic bag. So Margo and Jerry are back at Hazelcroft hopefully playing nicely with their new friends. Fingers crossed, they come home as a new mini-herd of four tomorrow :luv:.

exciting times !have you bought more things for the piggies!please send pics when you have a chance.good luck.:yahoo:

Oh dear, yes. My husband is going to have a fit when Mr Postman keeps delivering stuff! New piggy-pods, fleece so I can have a go at making corner hideys and am about to order a new Petnap electric heat pad for winter as the current one is only big enough for three comfortably.

Good luck - it might be quiet at home, but at least it is less stressful than having to witness the awfulness of bonding first hand!

Surely it can't be worse than bonding rabbits? I've done that MANY times and some of them have been weeks (and even months on one occasion) of full-on stress and sleepless nights! The only piggies I've put together have just been instantly fine with each other. I must have been very lucky!

Bonding can be easy or difficult depending on the personalities and parties involved ,but you have done the best thing, giving a rescue piggie a chance for a forever home.:)

All my piggies have been rescues :D. Sarah said there was some teeth chattering and lunging from the two young girls as they were a bit frightened (they're not yet 4 months old). My two were 'surprised'. Hoping they are a little more settled today, otherwise I don't think they'll be coming home just yet.

Hurrah! Was planning to send you a message to ask how this was going :) Hope all goes well and we do need photos once they're home and settling :)

Hope all goes well with the bonding. They are in great hands with Sarah.

I hope the bonding goes well & you'll have them home today

Thanks Suzy. I only met one of the girls and I didn't even ask if it was Thelma or Louise  . She was the longer haired brown girl but OMG, soooo sweet. I've never had young piggies before so it'll be interesting.

Ultimately, I don't mind who they end up with as friends and I just left it with Sarah to decide who they get on with best. So it could be a total surprise as to who eventually comes back home with us!!

Bet you are exited, I put 2 babies with a 1yr old sow, she's not amused when they disturb her sleep, she gives them the evil eye. They have bound less energy & popcorn all the time, My one comes up for lap time & will not sit still, all the things she wants to do are now & not tomorrow, she will drive me to a mental breakdown.
My hubbys one just sits there. Have fun.

:lol!:

Hope it all goes well. :D

If Sunday goes to plan I may end up attempting to do some pig bonding of my own (unfortunately the Blue Cross don't do bonding sessions), but at least I have two hutches if things don't work out as I'd like.

They're coming home tonight! Air bed is ready next to the cage (I always sleep next to them on the first night - just in case). Stupidly excited. I'm nearly 47. You'd think I'd act like an adult :yahoo:.
You do spoil them Mackers, not so sure I'd have that dedication, well if they are ill.

Ha ha - yes I'm a bit OTT but I've bonded too many rabbits in the past to be able to get beyond the 'fighting may break out at any point' fear. Once I know they're fine all night, I can leave them to get on with it.

Hurrah!

Ha! I completely understand. I have a spy camera I use for when I have newly bonded pigs or ill/ unwell pigs, so I sleep in my bed but am actually awake most of night looking at screen.

What a wonderful attitude - whatever piggies you end up with will be very lucky indeed.
Wishing all of you a peaceful evening.

They're all home.

Never had baby piggies before - they're so funny! Jumping, climbing, running everywhere. Even Jerry is rumblestrutting and acting like Alpha Male. I've never heard him rumble before! But everyone is eating and investigating so all good so far.

Will post pigtures once they've settled a bit. Now for names ...................I had some in mind but have gone off them.

Jerry is all like "uhhhh, young ladies :drool::love::drool:":lol!:
