Last night i got some new piggies from The Potteries Guinea Pig Rescue in Stoke an absolutely wonderful place with wonderful people.
First of all my beautiful Dylan 5 year old Merino he went boar dating
and is now the proud Uncle to Arnie a 8 week old pink eyed golden. I wasnt sure on pink eyes but i love him and his eyes now and they suit his naughty nature.
and then we also got 2 other piggies Foxy (fox and tan) and Choco (silver fox )they are 1 year old, they are very shy so we are just letting them settle as they have not had best of starts. They are in the cage until they feel more secure then will move into there guinea palace in the spare room. Could only get a pic of choco.
Will post better pigtures when there more setteled but i cant stop looking at them there all so beautiful.
Thank you i am excited getting to know them all just feel a little sorry for Dylan as the baby is very playful and he cant be bothered but i no it will settle down just got to give it time. Just he and his old friends had been together for 4 years so they were settled with each other so i had forgotten what bickering was like.
Arnie is a real cutie! I have a girl like that (Hafina). I am sure that Dylan doesn;t mind having a bit of a rest every now and then! Babies are so constantly on the go, aren't they?
All the best with settling in Foxy anc Choco. I am sure that they will come out of their shells with tlc and patience!
They're lovely. Arnie looks like Rocket, our 13 week old we got from the potteries rescue when we boar-dated Wallace. He seems quite hormonal at the moment but Wallace seems to be taking it all in his stride..I think he'd be rolling his eyes at Rocket's antics if he could!
funny arent they Arnie goes bombing round and dyl just pius his head down and eats as if to say if i dont look maybe he will stop and the red eyes just add to the effect of this naughty little brother.
Must be a baby boom of pink eyed goldens in stoke lol.
I love to see our younger piggies when they have playtime and chase each other around. The two older girls just look on disapprovingly if they are trying to sleep, I swear they are thinking "tsk, the youth of today :x"
Sometimes they nudge the little ones out of their space when they get a bit boisterous - really is like a playground some days here |)
