Last night, I noticed the unerlid of one of my girls were a little swollen and red, I got super worried because I stress a lot! I waited until today to see if it disappeared but it's still there. Can you guys help me? What is this? She is eating well btw, thank you so much! There are some photos attached but they are not very good.

I would take her to a vet. My pig had a similar problem but he had a lump under his chin and inflamed lymph nodes so he was tested for cancer. Eyes can deteriorate very quickly and cause the piggie pain. The vet can prescribe eye drops and check there’s nothing else wrong with him. If there is anything wrong with pigs eyes it’s always important you get to the vets ASAP, even if that means seeing a general vet until you can see the exotics specialist. Have a feel round his back legs and neck and see if the lymph nodes are inflamed or not.

Sending healing wheeks!

I am so worried now :(, I have to check again but a while ago when I hold her she didn't have any lumps that I noticed, she doesn't seem like she is in pain she can close her eye fine, she is eating and is acting normal but I don't know.. It seems like the '' tear duct'' is a little swollen

Is his eyes watering? Sneezing? Nose watering?

A blocked tear duct (dacryocystitis) happens when there is an obstruction in the passageway that connects the eyes to the nose or when the duct fails to open. A blocked tear duct can cause conjunctivitis
Some causes of a blocked tear duct are:
  • Infections in the eye
  • Tumors
  • She changes changes
Is her nose blocked or her eyes watering?

it could be more serious though so get to the vets soon.

Sending healing vibes

I don't really know if it is actually the tear duct, something inside her eye is a little swollen like a wound :( I don't know, she seems fine she hasn't lost weight, she is eating very well, and seems fine. It's only her eye that is like that and is little watery inside (but I think that's the normal amount). Thank you!

How old is she

Have you been to the vets yet? You really need to go fairly urgently with eye problems as the eyes are so delicate. Hopefully it's nothing some antibiotic eye drops won't clear up

Yes, I already went to the exotic vet turns out it's a corneal ulcer! Going to give her some eye drops and something for the pain for a while and Friday I go back to the vet! Hope it heals well 😓

Most heal quickly. When my Lily did her eye it took about 3 weeks in total to go completely back to normal. Willow on the other hand, it looked healed within a couple of days

Thank goodness it isn't anything serious. As @Lady Kelly said, they usually heal quickly.
