Junior Guinea Pig
Hi Guys.
I'm pretty new to the forum so I just thought I would post a pic of my piggies cage (and a couple of my piggies for good measure!)
I started off with a shop brought cage but after everything I read about c&c cages I decided I had to get one for the welfare of my piggies. I started off with a 6 x 2 cage with a 2 x 2 loft but I found that my piggies were constantly hiding under the loft area and not only was it a pain to clean because the pigs were doing all of the there business where I couldn't reach but they were also a nightmare to catch when I wanted to get them out for cuddle time.
So after I couple of weeks I brought some more grids and I made an 8 x 2 cage instead and got rid of the loft. It has made such a difference it's easier to clean and my piggies seem to be a lot less skittish because there aren't as many places to hide.
I have also become a bit of a fleece addict and have spent a fortune on cage liners and cosy items. Currently the cage is dressed with liners from stephs piggie paradise and some other items from piggypigpigs! It's so summery and my piggies love it! Popcorns a plenty!
And just to quickly tell you that the himalayan piggie is Piggles. She is so lovely and she loves to give piggie kisses!
And the tri colour piggie is Brie. She is the sweetest of the bunch and she loves a long relaxing cuddle in front of the telly.
I also have another little lady called Poppy. She is the most hyperactive and she Popcorns all over the place (hence the name!) unfortunately though she won't sit still for long enough to have her picture taken!
Anyway thank you all for ready my loooong post!
