I didnt manage to get a pic of them on the fleece, they ran straight into the hay and hid, then jumped around with hay all over the place so after 10 secs it looked like this .....

With the lid on, hiding in their igloo ...

Then exploring their new cage, when they thought i'd gone

Ive set it out with a towel on the bottom, then some pampers changing mats then another 2 towels and then the fleece :) ive now got to persuade my Mum that this works, its best for them and it wont clog up her washing machine hmmmmm

it looks great! how many piggys have you got? what cage is it? i've not seen such a big cage thats not C&C before! is it a nero?

What little monsters, messing it all up like that! I like the idea of pampers changing mats underneath, are they painfully expensive? I may go for that instead of newspapers.

They look like they're loving it, congrats on the new layout!

Ive got 3 there 12 weeks old, theres pics of them on the breeding forum because i dont know what breeds they are. Ive no idea what cage it is, its not a nero one as far as i know, there is a sticker on it, that ill have a look what it says on. I got it from the pet shop i got them from and its huge! measurements are 114cm length 55cm width and 46cm high! :)

There on offer at the moment there 2 packs for £6 in asda (should be £4.21 or something like that each for a pack of 12, i used 2. I'm going to see how it goes with that. i might get the plastic travel changing mats for babies that we sell at work for £1 just to prevent the bottom of the cage going white with wee.

if you've got a nectar card, check on nectar estores as they have thousands of stores that you can buy stuff with and get nectar points on top of what you pay. Then use the nectar points on the puppy pads!

If your mum's worried about the machine just make sure you give the fleece a good shake and brush down, I then rinse mine through in the sink before putting into the machine. I only put newspaper and a towel under the fleece because I have burrowers and they might nibble on the caremats

mine have been burrowing today so far I'm not impressed with the fleece caging, i did however get a cream fleece and think before i get rid of the idea totally ill try a brown fleece but after 24 house, the fleece is covered in stains of wee (although that appears to have soaked through to the towels :) ) and tomato juice from there cherry toms. Its already startin to smell, ive found a patch where they have burrowed up the fleece, towels ect and poo'd all under and ive never ever cleaned up so many poo's before or seen that many. they haven't used their litter tray they dont always anyway but the majority goes in their, but i must have cleaned out about 300 poo's some very very light in colour which ive not seen before. Thats just in 24 hours too and not a wee or poo in the littler tray ... feel we make have taken a backwards step here :(

I'm hoping to get another in a couple of weeks time for Jordan and her babies

Your cage looks a lot tidier than mine! I have thought about fleece as well but my boar loves his hay and would be distraught if i limited his "hidey" hay rolleyes:)) The big baby!

I have to admit i find newspaper and hay the best option for me... I just clean out the whole cage in 10 min (including giving it a wipe down), put new stuff down and 2 days later do it again!
The piggies love making nests and running around with hay on them...:))

Maybe they are just getting used to the fleece?
