My piggies love me

Well we now know who their favourite human is despite my other half giving them extra veggie treats.

I got home from my hen weekend today and was chatting to the other half in the kitchen with the door open while he finished cooking my dinner and the piggies starting a lot of wheek, wheek, wheeking! So the other half tells me that they clearly recognise my voice as they haven't been very vocal while I have been away... I knew they loved me secretly

Aaawww! This reminds me of a time when I was in the vets talking to the vet whilst the vet nurse was bringing my piggy to the room and she said that as soon as he heard my voice he started wheeking.

I truly believe they recognise our voices, since their hearing is so good and all. It's probably a lot more than just feeding them, they really know who we are. The best piggy mums and dads ever.

Well isn't that the truth. My hand lingers around the food bowl to allow lily and Poppy to keep building confidence. Doesn't take long for Daisy to start picking my fingers though... She would eat me first if I died and she had run out of veggies

Since I went back to work and there's no lunchtime snack my piggies are like a scary swarm of bees at evening feeding time, I take off the access panel to the cage and there are 5 furry monsters climbing up my arm and wheeking in my face and head butting me when I reach for the food bowl... which is probably love on piggy terms right?! Until they learn to open the fridge anyway!
