My Piggy Is Making A Coughing Noise

my piggy is about 2yrs old i just rescued him from a pet store about 3 weeks ago an i just noticed he started making this coughing noise every once in a while this past week hes only done it 3-4 times should i be worried? hes healthy and doesnt show any signs of having any problems hes eating well he loves being petted an stuff he acts just fine but like i said he just started making this coughing noise this past week iv only heard him do it 3-4 times but I'm worried that there might be something wrong with him i have a air purifier right next to his cage an i clean his cage every other day he has fresh food and hay daily I'm worried about my piggy
 
Hi , l have an air purifier and some times it lets out tiny bursts of dust from the seams of the fillter, perhaps yours do's the same ?
eather way it may be wise to take him to your vet ! just to be on the safe side

Hi! If the coughing persists or you notice other symptoms of a URI, then please see a vet. Only a few coughs are not conclusive, but keep your eye and ear on it with a new guinea pig that has not undergone any quarantine or good care. I would try and place a bowl of steaming water next to the cage and see whether it alleviates the symptoms.

he started coughing a few days ago it started off just a cough or two an its gotten worse the last 2 days an today hes been coughing a lot I'm taking him to the vet today hopefully theres nothing wrong with him an its not the purifier or the hay or anything like that he doesnt eat fast or drink fast its not like him to cough iv had him for 3 weeks now an just out of the blue a few days ago he started coughing at first i wasnt for sure what it was until he started doing it more an its gotten worse the last two days an today for sure so I'm taking him to the vet its scaring the hell out of me i think he has a URI but I'm hoping its nothing serious
