my piggy's don't like carrots

cindy and milly hate carrots, I don't know why? they love every thing else like apple and all that. dose any one elses piggy's not like carrots?
 
That's quite strange, most pigs love carrot! :o
I don't think its anything to worry about though, its probably just the same as how people have different tastes in food. ;)
 
not all pigs like everything my 2 dont like kale and thats another favourite, they also dont like peppers which is popular :)
 
Mine don't like peppers either, or tomato ::). They love kale though!

Carrot is quite sugary....they might not like it that much because of it. Don't worry, if they eat other things it doesn't really matter if they don't eat carrots....
 
i have 1 pig who doesnt. but his previous owners only ever fed him dry food and carrot, so i dont blame him really.

its not really a problem as carrot shouldnt be fed to them too often anyways
 
Mine can be a bit funny with carrots - they are always thrown about the cage and are the last to be eatten..........except when they're baby carrots (chanteray - or however you spell it) they absolutely love them and eat them up really quickly ;D
 
my piggies also hate carrots, always have since babys. I've tried all types & sizes. They're not
brothers so its not a family thing, just as though they've decided between them!
 
High in calcuim too, but Amber doesn't like carrot either, she has posh tastes as she loved melon when she tried it for the first time
 
its not that mine dont like them but they do leave them to last and eat their peppers first or apple
the carrots get eaten eventually :laugh: :laugh:
 
I have recently adopted a guinea pig from LucyWoo, this piggy is the first ever piggy I had that ignores cucumber - completely! She would probably rather starve than eat it. She really turns her nose up at it. I suppose some piggies are just fussier than others! ::)

I remembered what you said and bought some of those chanteray carrots today, and they've really enjoyed them.
 
mine love the carrot greens/tops but aint too fussed about the orange bits.

My guinea pigs generally love carrots but haven't touched them at all this week. Not too upset about that as Molly used to drag the carrots into the sleeping side of the cage, bite the outer layer of and spit all the bits out and only eat the sweet inner core. What a mess!
