I've had my pigs for 5 months now and they are still freezing when I walk into the room. I have followed all the tips and tricks to making your piggies trust you but they are still terrified. In one of my other posts I mentioned one of my piggies tugging at my clothing, but they really do seem to hate me. What am I meant to do ?!?any one got any tips ? Please help

I'm in the same boat with my Cocoa. I've had her for 5 months as well and she is still afraid of me. On the other hand, Penny warmed up to me after 2 months. This tells me that every pig is different and will warm up with time and patience :) Try hand feeding them and giving them lap time. The biggest thing I can advise is patience :)

With piggies it really is all about patience.
If you have read all the forum advice and are following the tips then you are on the right track.
Talking to them, feeding them and allowing them to dictate the terms of the relationship is what works.
It can take a long time with some piggies

I've had one of mine 3 months and one 2 weeks. The one I've had the longest really doesn't like cuddles, he comes to my hand and shouts me for food..The one I've had 2 weeks comes to my hand now as he's seen the other do it. I just sit next to them, faff around with their cage moving things are tidying it whilst talking to them. They both still scatter at sudden movements or loud noises but it all comes with time. My older one has been adopted twice so he's had a rough time and I'm not surprised he has issues, he's so mardy but now he lets me stroke him for about 10 secs before he changes his mind. These are the first one owned but my degus were exactly the same and after about 8/12 months they stopped being scared by every movement and now aren't phased by anything
