My poor baby is deteriorating

Poor Ginny has been losing hair, weight and acting hormonal but it seems to have speeded up in the last few days.
She had an xray last Saturday which didn't
show anything obvious and was referred to a specialist Molly Varga. I've got an appointment on Friday afternoon so I am trying not to panic.
The bald spot underneath her has doubled in size in the last 4 days. She has also lost another 100g. She's always been a big girl reaching 1497g in December 2018. She is now 1270g which I know is still on the heavy side, but her shoulders are all bony now which is upsetting me.
She is also showing signs of pain now. She's on Metacam twice a day anyway for a back problem, but is now grinding her teeth before the next dose is due.
She is still shouting for food and munching away so that's good. I guess she is expending more energy with all the rumble strutting, chasing and mounting she is doing.
I'm preparing myself that she'll probably need spaying and just hoping she can stay well enough for the operation. She's just turned 3 so I'm hoping in a few weeks she'll be back to her old self.
Can't stand seeing my baby not happy. Luna is looking after her, they keep sleeping next to each other which is unusual.
Should I give her some extra food while she is losing weight? She loves her pellets so maybe more at the moment? I'm already spoiling her with posh hay in an attempt to get her to eat more.
Sorry for rambling but my heart is aching for her and I just needed to tell people who understand.

Sending you hugs, what a worrying time for you. hopefully the specialist will get to the bottom of it. not knowing what’s wrong is the most difficult part x
 
Ginny saw a dermatologist and had a skin scrape to rule out mites and fungus. They thought it was hormonal as well, but might be thyroid. She is going back on Wednesday to spend they day, have an ultrasound on thyroid and ovaries and also blood tests.

I did tell the vet she is very confident. She was her usual nosey self, wandering round the vets table, sniffing at the vets clothes and arms. Got back in their pet carrier herself and started eating hay lol.
 
Aw, hope it’s something not serious that can be sorted for little Ginny and she makes a speedy recovery x
 
Ginny seems to have perked up a bit. She's more interested in things and is letting me stroke her again. I'm thinking she was properly in season last week and feeling even more miserable.
Seems to add more weight to the hormonal theory.
 
Ginny has lots of small ovarian cysts and a slightly enlarged thyroid. Blood tests results are due on Friday but the vet seems to think spaying her will be best.
She said she'd do the flank version as it's just her ovaries which need to come out. I know that way has a better recovery rate so fingers crossed she can get back to normal.
The vet said she tolerated everything really well and has been treated to some coriander and basil lol.

Ginny is booked in to have her ovaries removed on Thursday. She has lots of small cysts but her thyroid is fine.
She's having flank surgery by an experienced vet so fingers crossed she'll get through it ok.
I've got some critical care which I'm going to let her try beforehand so she's use to being syringe fed. I've also got some oxbow digestive support cookies and some vitamin C ones to get her in the best health possible before the operation.
I'm going to buy some white towels for post-op bedding.
I know I'm in for a rough ride so am getting as much as I can sorted now.
