Last night I was grooming my guinea pig when my mom found a rough spot on his nose and cut it off I treated it with warm saltwater but he is still rubbing his nose

When you say a rough spot that you cut off was that just his hair or was there dry, flaky or scabby skin? Fungal infections often start on the face so I would be going along to the vets to get it checked out

Does it look like the skin is damaged in any way? Also does he have a male companion who may have got something very sticky into his hair?

My Minnie started losing the hair on her nose and the skin was flakey - turned out to be ringworm (fungal infection). Ringworm is very easily treatable but contagious and can start on the nose. I'd keep an eye on it and if it appears flakey I would maybe visit a vet just to be sure :)
