My lil sister put my 5 guinea piggys out in there run yesterday so i could clean hutch out and they were really enjoying it, porcorning round they were :) but what my sis n I hadn't noticed was she put run near a smallish hole so they could get out from one side, I stood up to go inside to get something and saw 3 of them out of run right next to it, I thought I imagined it but then noticed I wasn't imaging it so quickly got my sis so we could try catch them, 2 of them rang back through hole it to run and ruby ran of a bit, so I quickly moved run away from hole so they couldn't get back out and concentrated on gettin ruby back she ran away for ages and after while are next door neighbour who was helping caught her so I put her away so she could calm down but I noticed she had lil cut on ear which is fine now all healed :) thank god, I'm soo glad she's ok and that we caught her as there is a few cats down my road That would probs try get her
She is a mischief

Thank goodness you got them all back in one piece! It must have been very worrying for you (and your piggies too i expect rolleyes). I'm sure next time you put them out you will double check (triple probably) that there are no gaps.
Phew!

Oh no!
Glad your little piggie is safe now! I cant imagine how worried you must of been! Thats a lesson for us all: to check where abouts you put your run!

Glad that you got them all back!

Generally, piggies are territorial herd animal and they will do their best to come back to their friends and their home patch if they can once they have had their little explore; they only run further away if they very fightened (for instance by a thunder clap), feel hunted or their flight reflex is otherwise triggered.

But it is always good to check that a run or a hutch is safe.
