Winona only a couple weeks ago recovered from her second uti since August. Tonight she appeared to be squeaking while pooping :( I took her out to check the color of her urine and of course she gave a good big pee all over my couch right after walking off the towel she was placed on! The urine was not red but very cloudy! I will be following up with my vet tomorrow as she was already concerned of her having a chronic issue. She did have an X-ray that revealed no stones previously so that was good.

Anyone else dealt with chronic uti issues?

Good news it isn't stones. Yes, we have had two bladder piggies. UTI or interstitial cystitis can cause blood in wee.

One of our girls had inflammation of the bladder wall diagnosed with an ultrasound and was on daily metacam for 2 years which helped

Another of our girls was prone to UTI's so we had Antibiotics septrin on a regular basis for her whenever one sprung up. We'd keep dipsticks in at hoem to check her wee for blood when she started squeaking when weeing.

Sometimes our UTI prone piggy required 10 days of septrin to clear stubborn UTI's

the only time i've had lots of issues with recurring UTI's has been with Ellie, she would have antibiotics, it would clear up for a few weeeks & start all over again, the vet did an ultrasound & found she had a walnut sized lump that turned out to be an ovarian cyst, she was 6yrs old & so we opted for the hormone chorulon (HCG) injections which worked for her.
it might be worth discussing with your vet & have a look on the Xray to see if anything showed up from before? or maybe try 'Cystease' i think some members have had good results with that, its a cat cystitis supplement that lines the bladder with a glucosamine coating so making it less severe & less painful.

if its white cloudy urine it may just be her getting rid of excess calcium in her diet, but if she's squeaking there may be traces of blood in it that can't be seen.
Healing vibes being sent. xx

Thanks everyone! They are having me bring in a urine sample today to test. She seems fine today with no squeaking! Hopefully she will pee for me again this afternoon!
