As some might know who have helped me with their fab advice, I rehomed two piggies just before christmas .

One desperately needed their claws clipping, so thought it would be a good opportunity to take them both to the vet and get them both a proper M.O.T as one has a funny lip which I was concerned about, and both to have a manicure :)

I explained what had happened to them, and explained how I'm looking after them now, the vet was lovely and said that I am doing things right for them ( I was so chuffed ) , but did think they were very pampered :))

Elvis, apparently what I thought was a lump around his mouth , isnt, its a flap, he has been bitten as a baby and its not healed back to his other skin, so unless it causes him a problem, then its nothing to worry about , if it starts to bleed, they can give him a little op to remove it .

They both were weighed and had stethascopes to listen to their little hearts, I wish I had a camera because it looked really cute ( maybe its just me !) , they were very good having thier claws trimmed and very brave !

My friends think I have gone insane , I adore these little fellas, they were supposed to be for my son and for me to help look after them, so as I darent put another post on facebook about how much I love my piggies, I thought I would be in a safe place here to tell you about today :(|) ......... I even came out of the vets feeling proud over how well they had done in there ....... I darent confess to that one ! hee hee x x x

Thats wonderfull that they are fit and well! :) I'm very glad you are enjoying piggy ownership.

Thank you Connie , the first 48 hours I really did worry whether we had done the right thing, but I never anticipated that I would actually genuinely get to love them myself over the weeks , and I really do.

They both came to me after not being handled hardly and were both very very skittish, one will stay still when I go to pick him up ( he was actually worse at first than the other one ) and Jackson, who is so hard to catch, will now sit on my knee and eat vegetables I give him ... its bribery maybe, but its progress :)

This forum has given me advice that I cant thank people enough for :)

Thats what we are all about. :) Hopefully you will stick around and enjoy everything we have to offer.
