My Sweet Little Nibbler

My darling little Nibbler had made it to 2 years and 4 months old. He absolutely stole my heart. When we first got him home, with Fry his brother, he was incredibly shy and didn't like to be held. As time went on he became such a cuddle monster. He loved snuggling up in the many fleece beds I bought him, cucumber, listening to music and watching Simpsons on the TV.

When he first got ill back in February, I was amazed at how well he recovered from his operation to remove the bladder stone. Such a tough little cookie. Since then it was an on and off battle with the bladder problems, unfortunately more on than off, and eventually we couldn't fight it anymore.

When it came to say goodbye on Thursday, me and my OH were sat on the sofa with him, saying our goodbyes and cuddling him. He gave both of us a kiss, as if to say thank you and I love you.

I'm absolutely broken hearted that he isn't here anymore but I know he's now pain free and hopefully has a girlfriend or three.

Going to pick up his ashes tomorrow. Have arranged a wooden box with a name plate as well.

I've bought some stuff to do a scrap book and I'm going to dedicate a section to him.

I never thought it would hit me this hard.... it just makes you realise what an affect these little piggies have on your life.
