Many of you know about Umbrella, the poor little guy who was rescued by Summerleaze. He was in a terrible state, I fostered him and then adopted him. Anyone who doesn't, there is a thread under the Rescue Section on here.

Well, he has gone from strength to strength. He has a fantastic personality, so trusting considering how neglected he was. A couple of reminder photos in case new members aren't aware of him.

Summerleaze rescued him on 20 March 2009 and I fostered him the next day. This is the first photo I took a couple of days after ...

Anyway while playing music on Napster, I came across the song by Rihanna called Umbrella. Although I had heard it many times before, I listened to the lyrics and thought some of them were very apt with me and Umbrella. So here are some ...

I know I am a bit soft ... but I love him so much. He has brought me such joy and satisfaction! x>>x>>x>>
 
I love Umbrella the guinea pig! His eyes look so sucken in the first two shots, bless him he has come a long way and thats down to your care. Well done you! x

that bought a tear to my eye! I'm so soppy when it comes to animals! what an apt and cute name for such a cute piggy :)
 
so sweet i am glad to see him healthy:),when i first saw the name it confused me lol but now i have read those lyrics i understand why you named him that,it suits the little man perfectly,well done for helping Umbrella x
 
Umbrella looks fantastic in the third picture, it's brilliant to see the improvement. I can see now where your avatar came from - it's the second photo shoot I assume!
 
What a lovely song for a special guinea pig - it really fits!

A rescue can sometimes give you so much back, because they appreciate your love, having seen too much of the other side...
 
Oh Bev, I just love Umbrella too, what a difference in him now! Thanks for the updates and photos.....just gorgeous and looking a lot less like an umbrella now :))
 
Oh dear, I should have looked at this post on a day I'm not so emotional, it made me cry 8... (I'm pregnant, thats my excuse :))). Umbrella looks like a different wee boy now, what a difference :)

Thanks everyone!

It was Louise (Summerleaze) that named him when she rescued him. I remember her pm to me saying about the size of his ears compared to his skinny body, hence she had temporarily named him Umbrella. :)

He is a great chap and booked in at the vets tomorrow for a pre-assessment prior to neutering. I am gonna to worry about him terribly when he has it done in case something happens to him. But he now weighs 1kg and lonely so I will see what the vet says. I think I am gonna bore the vet with lots of photos of him, before and after.

Then he will be looking for love! ;) Umbrella I mean, not the vet! :)):)):))
