Nail Clipping

Hi
Does anyone have any advice (or can point me to a thread that has advice) about how to approach toe clipping. I find it bad enough cutting my sons toe nails so trying to get my head around cutting nails on tiny wriggling baby piggies is already scaring me.

I find it difficult to do even when someone's holding my pigs for me, one in particular will not sit still lol.Have u got a vets near where u live? My local vets charge £4 or £5 to cut their toenails and if u ask they can show u how to do it yourself next time

I wrap them in a towel and distract them with their favorite treat. It's easier if they have clear nails as you can see the quick. If you are really uncomfortable then it wouldn't be a bad idea to have a vet show you so that you don't them. I also always have styptic powder on hand just in case, although I have only ever needed it once

Baby pigs shouldn't really need a nail clip as such. All you need to do is nip the very tip off the nail where they are sharp, just do that every other week then you won't really need to trim them very much at all
