Hi! I was just wondering when I should clip my guinea pig nails? They aren't super pointy or anything, I just want to k kw for the future. How do you know when they should get cut? Can I use Normal nail clippers, or should I use nail trimmers?

You can use nail clippers but I would buy a pair of the pet trimmers as they make it that little bit easier to do. You need to trim the nails when they start growing and getting long. Baby nails take a while to get growing

Heres a photo of one of my guinea pigs nails, they are pointy at the end so are they long enough to be cut?
I feel like they may not be but I'm no expert lol a photo of gp nails.webp

Below is nail clipper I use for my piggies. I cut very little to avoid injuries and I have never drawn blood yet. If nail is much longer than where quick is, then you can cut a little off the tip.
