Nail cutting

Hi all, today I attempted to cut my guinea pigs nails as they were quite long, I’ve had them since Thursday. He really disliked it and I only managed to do two paws as I felt very bad. Should I let them settle in longer until I attempt to do this again? Please give me more tips to make this a better experience for the both of us.

Ah he was probably scared.
You could put him in a snuggle pouch or wrap him up in a towel
When I do the weekly weight and health check I cut the nails on one paw or even just one nail if I can tell they aren’t happy
Always good to have a treat ready to give them
If you decide you don’t want to do it then the Vet or vet nurse will do it for a small fee
