Nail growing inwards

Hi all, havent been on for some time but I'm a little worried about one of my pigs and wondering if anyone can help.

He has a vet appointment tomorrow because one of his nails on his front paw is growing inwards underneath his paw. I'm just wondering if anyone has come across this before so i know what to expect tomorrow?

Hi hun thanks very much. I cut them very often because it seems like they can grow overnight although i dont think i cut them all the way down because he is a dark piggy and I'm always terrified of hurting him. His nails were always straight up untill saturday when i noticed it curling inwards.

black nails are a devil to cut....... i find if put their little tootsies up to the light you can see where the 'quick' is
Has he injured his foot do you think? :...

I was thinking that maybe he injured it, due to how suddenly it changed but i cant find any explaination as to how he would have done. Do you have any idea how they will treat him? I'm really worried and cant sleep haha

No i'm not sure what they'll do...... i reckon they'll give him a good check over of his little tootsie first tho
Please get some sleep you'll be too exhausted to look after him otherwise @)
If he's not limping and is eating and drinking normally he'll be ok till you see the vets xx>>>

I think I'm just thinking the worse because i had a rabbit who had teeth that grew funny, developed an absess and had to be put down anyway positive thoughts thanks very much x

I have never thought of doing that mallethead
Dustin's front 2 paws are black nails and I'm scared we cut it too short

also if you cut them regularly (i do every 2-4 weeks) and just nip off a bit each time you should be fine
