Nail missing

Just noticed my little Honey's nail is missing on her left paw She's ok in herself running around and eating but she won't let me look at it. I check them both over every morning when they are put in their daytime run so it must have happened over night. Has a check-up at the vets later, first visit Am taking them both in to get their nails clipped so I can see how they do it as not confident yet to do it myself.

Nail breaks can happen; they usually don't bother the piggies after the initial pain has passed. The nail may grow back thicker at first.

It was a little swollen so been given some antibiotics for honey, she actually enjoyed taking it @)@) Vet also told me to bathe her foot in salt water to keep it clean

Pixel lost a nail on her front foot a few months ago (although I still have no idea how, she was out in her pen at the time ?/ )

It didn't really seem to bother her (although must have really hurt at the time?!) and she continued to use it normally and didn't limp at all.

It's now grown back completely and you can't tell the difference between the missing nail and all her other little toes
