poppy has a extra nail on the front paw brown growing upwards
 
Any chance you could post a picture for us to see? Thanks. Might make it easier to see what it is.
 
Are you sure it's a nail and not a foot spur? They can develop hard bits of skin...mine has one, you can cut them off if you are careful but do no harm leaving them. I've left mine as it doesn't bother him and is in an awkward place for me to try and cut off...does it look anything like this? image.webp

It looks very much like a spur to me. These horny outgrows are very common in guinea pigs. They colour is determined by the skin colour. Unless it catches a lot or impedes your guinea pig, you can leave it be. otherwise, you can cut it back, but please not too close to still live skin. If worried, have it done by a vet or a nurse.

hi i cut it left abit its brown like hard skin my mam says it comming from between the pads
 
I agree with the above, definitely sounds like a foot spur. My salsa gets these, I keep them trimmed along with her nails.
