So a few weeks ago I started to cut my guinea pig nails, however my parents (who helped me because I wad shaking)
Accidentally cut the quick of one of my piggies. We were all in shock and guilt so we took a break to calm down. Back then the other nails of my other guinea pig was pretty short. But yesterday I wanted to cut them (because they were getting a bit long) however I couldn't find them. So this moring I brought some guines pig nail clippers. But when I went to check on my piggies nails to cut them, her nail has curled really badly. I can tell she's very uncomfortable but when I tried to cut them the nails are way to curled for me to do. My parents won't help as well because they still feel guilty. Also we dont have a lot of money to go to the vets and have it done. I dont know what to do, I dont know why I'm stressing about it and can't sleep. Should I just try to cut them but why have they just suddenly curled?
I appreciate any help, thank you

Some guinea pigs have much more curly nails. Once baby nails start growing out, they do so very quickly at first; this then slows very gradually down again over the course of the life.

Having the nails cut by a vet nurse doesn't cost much, about £5-10; you can enquire beforehand at a vet clinic, especially one of the more basic chains, like vets4pets etc.
