I was having a root around on a buy/sell group for my area on Facebook and came across someone selling a rabbit with 'everything'. So I asked how big the hutch was, stating that 6ft is the minimum. She replied that she bought it from pets at home and surely they wouldn't sell something that was cruel to the animal by being too small.

Ohhh I want to save this poor bunny from a life in a tiny hutch but no way in hell am I paying her. It only adds fuel to the fire. :0
From her description is sounds lovely as well.

I think p@h shouldnt sell half the stuff they do like .....

The special offer on 3 piggies for cheap, and the get all the accessories with a ferplast 100 cage is shocking ... the 100 is not big enough for 1 piggie nevermind 3.

It would be great if you could walk into one of these places and come out with good advice and a good cage. If they sold Ferplast 120 for one piggie, 140/160 for two piggies and didnt do a deal on three then that would be good enough IMHO but no that would be too hard.

They also sell cages 1/3 of the minimum space required for a Syrian hamster for example as the norm ... poor things.

I used to think that they would know their stuff but I do not anymore! Most of the staff are just students trying to make some cash, and its a big company after money.

You could ask if she would give the bun to you as you can offer it a good home?

EDIT: p@h do a hutch thats only 120cm long! and their large hutch is only 150cm long

They are doing an offer on three now?! Oh good grief.

I could cry at some of the hamster cages, I really could. My Morris is a monster so I don't see how he could live in the cages they sell. He's like a miniature bear he needs his room.

Yep it's the 120cm hutch this bunny is in. If I had a spare 6 foot hutch I'd have to ask for him and get him snipped. I've got the room but not the hutch sadly. Even my piggy is in a 6ft hutch awaiting a friend (off to a rescue to find one in the new year). I'm a firm believer in the more room the better especially if you have the space to go nuts with it.

I think every new rabbit owner should be shown a set up like Fudgeandrainbow (is that her name?) has. It'd save a lot of suffering for bunnies.

Oh, god, I hope that isn't the one we've bought! I'll need to try and find out. It did look pretty big, in fact I think it was the biggest one they did.
