I can't think of a name for this guy. His partner is Maple Leaf. Help us!

[Qualcast&Flymo]

Continuing on the leaf theme, how about Ash ? The buds of Ash leaves are quite black before they open.

[Bill & Ted]

or another type of Ash is Rowan? Willow or Beech

[Betsy]

How about Birch or Oak?

[RosieLily]

I'm just here to say that he looks very handsome

[Roselina]

He does look very handsome

Suggestions Bramble Bamboo chestnut Dock

[ThatPurpleB]

Aspen
Blade
Thorny rose (following the 2 name theme)

[RedLoredAmazon]

He's handsome! Bruce, Sycamore, Cedar, or Forrest are my suggestions.

[Merab]

You could just call him Handsome
It would fit perfectly

[Swissgreys]

Why don't you just cut to the chase and call him the things you will be saying to him most often anyway?
'Stop biting the bars'
'No, you are not starving'
'You just had breakfast'

I'm thinking Oliver might be a suitable name.
