I'm so chuffed - I have just been given the go ahead for the adoption of two lovely, but shy girls!

http://www.rspca-walsall.org.uk/newpages/dottylottie.htm

We are going to pick them up next Monday on the way back from mother-in-law in Wales. The missing cage parts should turn up tomorrow, fingers crossed.

I have decided to stick with Welsh girl names and collated a shortlist of pronounceable, but meaningful names, but I just can't decide which ones I like best! I need your help, please!

The shortlist:

Branwen + Bronwen (raven+white and breast+white)
Nerys + Nia (lady and Welsh form of Niamh=bright)
Cadi + Ceri (spoken like "kerry") (Katy=pure and love)
Seren + Aeron (spoken like "iron") (star + berry, for those cute spots)

Yay so glad you have been given the go ahead now, you must be so excited for Monday to come :<>
I voted Nerys and Nia, think they are very pretty names but also like Cadi and Ceri x>>

It's going to be a looong weekend...!

They were picked up from a freead by the RSPCA and haven't been handled very much, but are coming on well now. Nor would the (by no means poor) lady leave them with any of their stuff, not even a food bowl to ease the transition; never mind donate the no longer used cage...

Nerys and Nia for me...lovely names! They are all nice though! Good luck with them! x

I like Nerys and Nia too. Really though, keep them all as a shortlist, don't decide for sure until you've met them!

I was sure I wanted something like Constance or Serenity for one of my new ladies...I ended up, by chance, with Sophia for her. I had decided on Delilah for the other new girl before she arrived, but that was only after a few days of deciding her name was to be Evangeline. We were lucky that Delilah Grace, the name we loved for her, actually suited her. Most of my other pigs were nameless for two or three days.

-c hi, Lucy from the branch here. Hopefully I can keep up with their progrss here (I feel some pic heave threads coming on :(|))

Never fear, I will! I've done it both with Llewelyn from Hopper Haven and Dizzy (ex-Daisy; adopted and renamed herself, due to the speed she mmade herself at home) from R&GP Welfare in Rugby.

PS: thanks for your link from this forum - otherwise I would have missed out on the girls.

I voted Nerys and Nia! Bet you're so excited to get them on Monday. They are gorgeous!x)
