Hi,
After reading about the adventures of Beans and Toast , it got me thinking about unusual names for guinea pigs. I would love to hear some suggestions. :)

Hi,

You may find my article for Guinea Pig Magazine interesting! Forum members have kindly illustrated it with their piggy pictures and naming themes - some are pretty unusual indeed!
My own piggies have all Welsh names with some sub-themes running (names and endearments of traditional names; personality traits; birds, wild flowers and nature). I try to match the name to the piggy in question.
Here is the article, which the magazine has allowed me to share on here: Guinea Pig Names: considerations, solutions, inspiration and resources

Hi,
Thank you i have just read the article in the magazine , some lovely names and some very cute guinea pigs.

Hi,
I love the names earl grey, lord snooty.:luv:

Hi,
I would love to see pictures of these guinea pigs.

My friend has a guinea pig named Big Kitty. I've always found that a really nice name, despite being relatively strange.

Sometimes they sort of invent their own names, we adopted Chloe and Jessica and changed their names to Clover and Jezebel and now they are just BigPig Clover and Jezzy Floof :) They really weren't a Chloe and a Jessica at all but they knew their names so we sort of worked from there and found a compromise!

Hi,
I love all the names .Its interesting how they come about too.

My brother named one of his pigs "General Ulysses S Grant". Being a Buckeyes fan he named his other two pigs "Eddie" and "George". Being a Buckeyes fan myself I've named one of my pigs "Dobbins".

There were a couple of rescue pigs posted about on here some months ago called Earl Grey and Lord Snooty; I still think they're the best two guinea pig names I've ever heard!
Yes, I remember those two boys, one white with a grey patch and the other grey, gorgeous boys and great names x

The kids named all of our piggies, and the names needed to work in English (our mother tongue) and German (the language everyone else speaks!).

I knew exactly what I was going to call my boys Bill and Ted! Love the film and they definitely suit their names.
I quite like names that go together like Smokey, Bacon, Salt and Pepper, Cheese and Onion, Herb and Spice, Sooty and Sweep, Tom and Jerry, Ronnie and Reggie, Beans and Toast! great names for pairs of piggies 😆
