Narrowly Avoided Yet Another Hay Poke!

Hettie was eating yesterday evening and I noticed she kept blinking her right eye. I said to OH that her eye didn't look right, he said I was obsessed with her eyes!

So, I took her out and low and behold there was a small piece of hay stuck in her fur just short of entering her eye. I removed it and bathed her eye, this morning all is well

Her brillo pad fur is awful as every little bit of hay sticks to it!

Aww! What hay do you use? We use Oxbow Timothy, so it is kind of poke-y, but we haven't had a problem. I think grass hay is softer, more delicate strands, so less chance of a hay poke maybe? Not sure!
