Another day in the adventures of Bramble!

A little bit of background in case its relevant. I bought her with her sister just over two weeks ago - we think she's around 12 weeks old. After two days home noticed that she had a gunky eye. Took her to the vet, was given some eye drops and that's all cleared up.

Since then she's been eating well, put on about 55g in the last week alone, and is popcorning lots, generally a very happy piggie.

Yesterday afternoon, though, I noticed that she was wiping her nose and it was runny. It seemed clear - didn't seem to be any gunk or anything. She did seem to make a rather nasally odd squeak though, so I was worried and phoned the vet.

Vet receptionist said if no other signs of illness (which there isn't) then just keep an eye. Listed other symptoms to look out for and said it was common for young GPs to be a bit nasally this time of year. Felt a bit wary as I thought as it might be a URI, Bramble ought to be seen by a vet just for a once over, but left it til this morning - thought I'd phone again then.

But this morning, touch wood, she seems to be all clear. No signs of snuffliness or discharge. Does that sound like it could be allergy or similar? Obviously she looks perfectly healthy now, so seems completely insane to make a vet's appointment! Obviously, I'll be watching her very carefully over the next few days. Any thoughts very welcome!

It could have been some hay dust or a bit of stuff stuck up the nose.

Keep an eye an Bramble and weigh him regularly. It sounds like he is doing well! I would only suspect URI when you see two or more symptoms from their list of symptoms, or if he was very obviously ill (huched up, no appetite, rattly crackly breathing).
