So like many of my fellow piggie lover, I clip my herd's nail regular, however I have an elderly lady whose most grumpy about the unlady like way I handle her during this process, she's a lady don't you know!...:p Anywhoooo, her nails are quite difficult to cut, they curl quickly probably because of her age and I was looking for suggestions for a natural abrassive item in her cage. Does anyone use anything?

It can't be a brick as the cage is on a stand on top of another cage so, I'm looking for something light. I did think about putting something on the ramp which is currently carpet since they run up and down that a lot to the hay loft - newly installed.

So answers on a post card to : - Miss Lady Buttercup - Prima Donna, I'm getting old and becoming part of the "Grumpy old woman's Brigade", care of hoomin Lil, the House in ** woods.
:))

What about a pumice brick, it's light and abrasive just like the mouse shaped pumice stones you have in a bathroom but bigger.

If you have an upper level, use something like a cat scratching post for the ramp, i find that my pigs that have one have much nice nails that aren’t as sharp compared to the piggies that don’t have the ramp :)

Something like that sounds good but don't make it too abrasive & make their feet sore. I use door mats (not the coconut type) & cut them into strips.
