They are very resource when it comes to hay! Although I often wonder why a piggie will get out of the hutch go round the side and start eating the hay through the bars that they were just sat on inside! Funny little things!

My lot have lovely clean hay in hay bales on the side doors of their hutch but they much prefer to eat the hay that is in the hutch that is used for bedding that has been wee'd and pooped on Maybe it tastes better if you are a guinea pig!

So piggies like illicit sneaky hay and hay they poo and wee in and also hay that is in the hutch but eaten from the outside oh and piles of fresh hay. I conclude they like hay

My piggies won't eat the hay in rack (and I have tried various ones), they much prefer it when it is mixed with poo and pee.

Same here. They will eat every pooed and weed-on bit of bedding before they will touch any clean hay in a hayrack.
