I've currently got 6 girls, all in pairs. My shed should be hopefully up in the next couple of weeks, and I'm planning on having them all together in one large pen.

Only thing is, 2 of them always rumble when I try and put them together. Am I best letting them just work things out or keeping them separated? 2 of them have never met the others as I've only had them a couple of weeks, they were unwanted but I think they'll be fine with the others.

Apart from those 2 having a dislike to one another, they all get on fine.

Any help on making the troublesome two make friends greatly appreciated!

hi, Ithink you should slowly introduce them toeach other by having them both on your lap for a few minutes and gradually increase the times they have together! they should gradually start to like each other!

thanks! I do keep trying that but they're both trying to be boss! Would it be worth trying to distract them with lots of food and just pop them all in together?

i'd pop them in hutches where they can see and smell each other, then maybe put them all in a nice neutral and big run,but supervise!

yeah the rumbling is just sorting out whose boss, don't worry too much, just add them all together in a neutral area, lots of hiding places and tubes etc, then dump a load of grass or something in the middle, spread it around and leave them to it.

If there's enough room for them all, enough food and hiding places they should be fine

Yes give them plenty of space, keep an eye on things in case of real bullying or nastiness but generally they need to sort things out for themselves. One point I would mention though, if keeping a large group together, jut make sure that they are all getting their fair share of the food. If one is feeling a little off colour its easy for the others to grab the food before they get a look in. Keeping an eye on weights is always important, but I think extra vigilance is called for when they are part of a large group.

Thanks very much everyone! I've put them so they can all see each other at the moment, just worrying about when I put them together for good!

they'll be fine with food, I always watch them having their tea because they're so darn cute when they eat! :(|) So I'll see everyone's getting their share.
