Hi, I did post in the vet bit but I guess no one really reads those threads. I'm looking for a good vet in the Peterborough or surrounding areas especially one who's in the know with things like fungal and skin conditions. If anyone can recommend a good one I'd be really appreciative. Thanks :)

Can you get to Northampton? If so, Simon Maddock at the cat and rabbit clinic
 
I can yes but it's a bit far away. I suppose it would be useful in non emergency situations but I'd be worried if I suddenly had to rush any of them there as its a good 45 minutes to an hours drive away. Thank you though ill keep it in mind if there's no other suggestions :)

Oakdale Vets is really good or Vedra at the CCT. It is about a 30 min drive from Peterborough but she is a GP specialist.

That may be and 30 years experience is not to be sniffed at however she still is not a vet and should not be advertised as such....

To be fair, I have never seen any literature of hers. I only heard of her via word of mouth and she has always been very professional. I did know she was not a vet, just an elder lady with a passion for piggies. She is a rodentologist though. Personally, I can not fault her.

The Simon Maddock, cat and rabbit clinic, is the only vets on the locator which is the closet. ;)
 
I was under the impression she was retiring anyway. In my opinion a person with so much knowledge who is not a vet is excellent to have on board as long as they work in conjunction with a vet who does all of the prescribing of medication etc and they work together to get the right results and diagnosis.
