Me and my girlfriend got a Male a few months back and go him neutered. After waiting the six weeks we finally got him a female. However, every interaction in neutral territory has ended with chattering teeth and then biting at each other.

Is it worth it to keep on trying or are they completely incomparable. Just hard to keep watching them not getting on.

Hello, did you start with a slow introduction where they could sniff each other through the bars for a couple of days first? Has any blood been drawn? I would not continuously put them together and separate them over and over again because each time you do that they have to restart establishing their hierarchy again. So I would introduce them to a neutral territory and let them do their thing - if any blood is drawn, immediately separate them and call it quits - they likely will not be compatible. Also, just to be on the safe side, are you 100% certain she is a female?

Thanks for the reply. We have taken a step back and have put their cages together. Looking to get some mesh to put between them in the other cage. No blood has been drawn yet. We have a play pen we'd consider neutral so can use that. We are 100% sure that she is female as we got her from a rescue where she was in with countless other females. We tried the first neutral intro after 1 week, we don't mind going slower if we need to.

Bonding can be tricky, but if blood hasn't been drawn then there is s till a chance.
The thing with bonding is that you need to commit and see it through until the end one way or the other.
A 'play date' approach doesn't work, as every new meeting is starting from scratch again.

Not all neutered boar/sow dates result in successful bondings. It all depends on the piggies involved and their personalities.
My own Ralph has something about him that has resulted in failed dates with 4 different sows. My lovely Felix who was recently bereaved also had a failed date that ended very quickly before he met his current lady wife.
The bonding guides linked above give you a good idea of what to try in terms of introductions and the body language and behaviour you are witnessing. But if there is a genuine dislike between them then sadly it may not work
